4. Set Realistic Goals
We all want this year to be better than last year. My company is no exception. That is just human behavior. But, let’s be realistic in setting goals. Maybe you want sales to increase by 10%, or 20%. Maybe you want to open another location. With all of our goals, we have to be realistic in our ability to achieve them, rather than chase unrealistic pipe dreams that are so out of reach that it leads to frustration.
5. Don’t Settle for Less This Year
Replace equipment at your business, whether it is inside the office or outside the office. An example would be if you have a piece of equipment on the yard that keeps breaking down and results in lost hours or productivity. Stop putting off what you need to do and just buy a new one. If making this change with new equipment makes you more productive, then quit settling on just getting by and make a change. Replace the old with the new. This is the year to do it!
